Walker refuses to withdraw from ACA lawsuit jeopardizing health care coverage for over 2 million Wisconsinites with pre-existing conditions MADISON - Three years ago today, Scott Walker’s ill-fated 71 day presidential campaign came to a stumbling end. Walker would go on to see the worst approval ratings of his career, forcing him to embark on a taxpayer-funded statewide apology tour. But little has changed in the last three years; Scott Walker is still putting his political interests before the future of Wisconsin. Walker refuses to withdraw Wisconsin from a lawsuit that would dismantle the ACA and jeopardize health care coverage for over two million Wisconsinites with pre-existing conditions despite claiming that he wants people with pre-existing conditions covered. As President Trump continues to threaten Wisconsin manufacturers, Walker has chosen to stay on Trump’s good side rather than stand up for Wisconsin workers. And instead of ensuring that our roads are safe and dependable to drive on, Walker diverted up to $90 million away from state highway projects as part of his election year $4.5 billion taxpayer giveaway to Foxconn. |
