MADISON - Thursday, Assembly Republicans introduced a resolution to impeach the Wisconsin Elections Commission Administrator Meagan Wolfe. Senate Democratic Leader Melissa Agard (D-Madison) released the following statement:

“A gaggle of well-known election deniers is once again attacking Meagan Wolfe, a nonpartisan election administrator who has served Wisconsin and our democracy with the utmost respect and dignity.

“The ongoing efforts to oust Wisconsin’s top election official is a political ploy to appease their extreme, MAGA base and sow doubt and mistrust in our free, safe, and secure electoral process. It is an insult to all election officials, county clerks, and public servants who work tirelessly to ensure the integrity of Wisconsin’s democracy.

“These shameless continued attacks on our election must stop. The 2020 election was accurately and justly decided. Wisconsin has accepted it, and I urge my Republican colleagues to do the same.”
