WISCONSIN -- On Tuesday, October 20, the first day of in-person early voting, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin will kick off the “What’s at Stake” Get Out The Vote bus tour with stops across the state to energize voters. 

Beginning in Madison, the “What’s at Stake” bus tour will feature a series of events with local Wisconsin leaders and campaign surrogates including State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski, Attorney General Josh Kaul, Congresswoman Gwen Moore, and more. At each stop, voters will be encouraged to visit www.iwillvote.com/WI to make a plan to cast their ballot.

There will be more than a dozen stops on the bus tour, including:

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21

  • Milwaukee

MADISON —​ Gov. Tony Evers today released the following statement regarding the circuit court's denial of a request by the Tavern League of Wisconsin to grant a temporary injunction on Emergency Order #3,  limiting public gatherings to 25 percent of a building or room's capacity.

McConnell's comments, made to reporters in Kentucky, underscore the divisions between President Trump and Senate Republicans on a fifth coronavirus package, with the GOP leader preparing to force a vote on a $500 billion bill next week.

State Building Commission Approves $73 million for Key Projects PDF Print E-mail

MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today announced the State of Wisconsin Building Commission Wednesday approved a total of approximately $73 million in key projects across the state. Highlights of the approvals include:

  • Construction of a code compliance and renovation project in Building 1 at Central Wisconsin Center;
  • Construction of an addition and renovation project at the Appleton Readiness Center;
  • Release of Building Trust Funds-Planning for preliminary design of the Units 9 and 10 wet cell remodeling project at Wisconsin Resource Center, and preliminary design of the Madison Armed Forces Reserve Center Motor Vehicle Storage Building;
  • Construction of lab renovation projects for UW-Stout and UW-Green Bay for the Classroom Renovations/Instructional Technology Improvement program;
  • Construction of repair and renovation projects for UW-Milwaukee and UW-Platteville for the Minor Facilities Renewal program; and
  • Construction of 20 maintenance and repair projects located at various locations in 13 counties across the state for the Departments of Administration, Corrections, Health Services, Natural Resources, Transportation, Veterans Affairs, Public Instruction, and the UW-System.

The Building Commission is chaired by Gov. Evers and includes following members:

  • State Senator Janis Ringhand;
  • State Senator Jerry Petrowski;
  • State Senator Patrick Testin;
  • State Representative Jill Billings;
  • State Representative Rob Swearingen;
  • State Representative Mark Born; and
  • Citizen member Summer Strand.
