RICHLAND CENTER, WI – Bipartisan legislation to expand access to telehealth services for Medicaid recipients was signed into law by Governor Tony Evers at a special ceremony at the Richland Center Hospital.

As a supporter of the legislation, Senator Shilling joined Governor Evers for the bill signing and released the following statement after the ceremony:

“When patients have access to health care services like telehealth technologies, it reduces the number of costly emergency room visits and lowers insurance costs for everyone in our state. This bill is critical for improving better health outcomes and expanding coverage for rural communities that have limited access to specialty care. It is also reassuring that western Wisconsin was well represented in the development of this legislation through the advocacy of local health leaders.
