Sen. Dave Hansen and Rep. Staush Gruszynski introduced vital legislation to help the Experience Greater Green Bay Visitor Center move forward, and Gov. Evers included funding in Capital Budget.

GREEN BAY - Don Allen, Business Manager of IBEW Local 158 and President of the NorthEast Wisconsin Building and Construction Trades Council, made the following statement on the announcement concerning state funding for the Greater Green Bay Visitor Education Center.

“Thank you to Sen. Dave Hansen and Rep. Staush Gruszynski for introducing vital legislation to help the Experience Greater Green Bay Visitor Center move forward.

We are especially thankful to Governor Tony Evers for his support of this legislation and his leadership on this project since day one. The Governor made clear his commitment to our community when he included funding for this project in his Capital Budget. Now, being here today, demonstrates the Governor’s backing for this legislation, his continued support for Green Bay, and his ongoing efforts to get the project done.

I am hopeful we can finally move forward with this legislation that will further enhance our area and encourage even more tourism and economic development. IBEW Local 158 and all members of the NorthEast Wisconsin Building and Construction Trades are at the ready to make this great project a reality with efficient, safe, and well-trained workers.
