MADISON - Governor-elect Tony Evers, Lt. Governor-elect Mandela Barnes and their transition teams have announced budget listening sessions throughout Wisconsin this week and next. LWVWI is preparing a statement for local League leaders to present on behalf of the state League. We will share the statement on our website as a reference for anyone to use.

Thanks for all your interest and action in the final weeks of the year around state government. It’s excellent to hear from so many and see all your work to engage with your democracy and hold elected officials accountable.

Also, according to reports today, the extraordinary bills have not yet reached Governor Walker’s desk. Contact Walker to encourage him to veto these bills.
