Sen. Larson and Rep. Taylor to Hold Press Conference Monday Announcing Abortion is Health Care Resolution

MADISON – On Monday, January 23, 2017, Sen. Chris Larson (D-Milwaukee), Sen. LaTonya Johnson (D-Milwaukee), Rep. Chris Taylor (D-Madison) will announce a co-sponsorship opportunity for a Joint Resolution affirming abortion as health care.

In recognition of the 44th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the US Supreme Court decision that recognized and guaranteed access to abortion services, Sen. Larson, Sen. Johnson, and Rep. Taylor will be announcing the Abortion is Health Care Resolution. By introducing this Joint Resolution, Wisconsin is joining 15 other states who are announcing similar legislation to affirm that affordable, accessible abortion care must be part of a quality health care system that works for every citizen.
