mandela-barnes-2022Plans to Discuss Rising Health Care Costs as Part of Wisconsin Way Tour

WAUSAU, WI - Following the launch of his campaign for Governor, former Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes is immediately hitting the road for his “Wisconsin Way” tour, a statewide effort to discuss how rising costs are affecting Wisconsin families, farmers, and small businesses.

Tomorrow morning in Wausau, Lieutenant Governor Barnes will sit down with medical providers and community members for a roundtable conversation on how rising health care costs are affecting Wisconsin families.

This stop continues Lt. Governor Barnes’ campaign swing through Tom Tiffany’s congressional district. During stops in Cadott, Superior, and Ashland, Barnes has slammed Tiffany’s vote to raise health care costs by voting against extending the Affordable Care Act tax credits, while laying out his own plan to make life more affordable for Wisconsin families.

On Day One as Governor, Mandela Barnes will expand BadgerCare. Wisconsin is one of nine states that has not expanded Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act.
