grocery-costs-foodMADISON - As a result of the government shutdown, critical food assistance for Wisconsinites will be delayed in November. Nearly 700,000 Wisconsinites in every corner of our state rely on FoodShare to put food on the table, including more than 260,000 kids under 18.

In direct response to the delay, area legislators are organizing to provide critical assistance to local foodbanks and highlight the effects the shutdown is having on Wisconsin. Legislators will host a food collection/drop-off event and press conference at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Madison Food Pantry.
