Green Bay Launches "Grooves on the Green" Summer Concert Series PDF Print E-mail

gb-groove-ongreenGREEN BAY, WI - The City of Green Bay, in partnership with the Tarlton Theatre and Green Bay Neighborhoods, announces the launch of "Grooves on the Green," a new summer concert series bringing free live music to neighborhood parks across the city. The five-concert series will kick off Friday, July 25, 2025, at Olde Preble Park with a performance by Alley Cat & The Purrrfection.

Concert Series Schedule:

Friday, July 25, 6-8 PM | Alley Cat & The Purrrfection | Olde Preble Park

Friday, August 8, 6-8 PM | Troy Heinz & The 57's | Perkins Park

Friday, August 22, 6-8 PM | Banda Los Locales | Farlin Park

Friday, September 5, 6-8 PM | Zoomie & The Soniks | He-Nis-Ra Park

Friday, September 19, 6-8 PM | Dale Anderson of The Delta Jets | Colburn Park

The series showcases a diverse lineup of regional talent, from the rock sounds of Alley Cat & The Purrrfection to the Americana stylings of Troy Heinz & The 57's and the vibrant Latin music of Banda Los Locales. The collaboration builds on Green Bay's rich musical heritage while supporting local artists and neighborhood engagement.

The partnership with Green Bay Neighborhoods aligns with the organization's mission to improve quality of life throughout the city by empowering citizens through their neighborhood associations. The concert series will provide opportunities for neighborhood association recruitment and activation in targeted areas.

All concerts are free and family-friendly, featuring food trucks and encouraging attendees to bring lawn chairs for comfortable seating. The series aims to activate underutilized park spaces while fostering community connections across Green Bay's diverse neighborhoods.
