DE PERE, WI - State Senator Jamie Wall (D-Green Bay) announced today that he has secured $30 million of funds in the 2025 – 2027 state budget for a new railroad bridge at Red Maple Road between American Boulevard and Lost Dauphin Road in West De Pere.
Approximately 25,000 vehicles will use the route each day when the project is complete, and the new railroad bridge will separate them from the most heavily-used rail line in Brown County. “The South Bridge will promote the economic development of De Pere and Brown County as a whole,” continued Wall. “I am happy to contribute to its success.” Senator Wall will hold a press conference today at 9:30am to review the project and the new state funding with De Pere Mayor James Boyd and City Manager Kim Flom.
