brad-schimelAbuser Presses Gun In Woman’s Neck

MADISON, Wis. – In 2019, Jeffrey Colvin reportedly punched his ex-girlfriend and mother of three kids in the head, dragged her by the hair, strangled her, and then pressed a gun into her neck and threatened to shoot her if she called the police.

Colvin caught a break and ended up in Brad Schimel’s courtroom. Schimel — notorious for giving light sentences to domestic abusersgave Colvin just two years behind bars, a fraction of what the sentence could’ve been.

In 2022, back on the streets thanks to the light sentence Schimel gave him, Colvin reoffended. He was charged with several counts involving domestic abuse, including battery, disorderly conduct, and resisting/obstructing an officer.

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: New Berlin man pressed a gun into the neck of the mother of his three children, complaint says

“Brad Schimel has a soft spot for domestic abusers, including one who pressed a gun into his victims’ neck and threatened to shoot her,” said campaign spokesman Derrick Honeyman. “Domestic abusers must be thrilled when they show up in Brad Schimel’s courtroom, because he’s let dozens of abuse perps walk with little to no jail time, including several who walked the streets and went on to reoffend. Brad Schimel is too soft-on-crime to protect our families and communities.”
