tony-evers-2019-sosMADISON – Last night, Governor Tony Evers delivered his State of the State Address in the Wisconsin State Capitol, where he laid out his vision for the next year.

Representative Ryan Spaude (D-Ashwaubenon) released the following statement:

“I applaud the Governor for his focus on the needs of working and middle class families.  We wouldn’t be in nearly as strong of a position today without his commitment to putting Wisconsinites first.

ryan-spaude“This past fall, I heard from folks around Green Bay who want their leaders to tackle the cost of living.  Governor Evers has shown that he takes this seriously, detailing a plan to help families who are struggling to make ends meet.  Last night, he voiced his strong support for initiatives like ‘Less for Rx,’ a bill that I’ve co-authored this session, which would lower the cost of prescription drugs and greatly reduce out-of-pocket expenses.  Nobody should be forced to choose between putting food on their table and having money for life-saving medication.

“I’m grateful for the Governor’s continued leadership.  I look forward to working with my colleagues, Democrats and Republicans too, who want to build a stronger Wisconsin.”
