MADISON - This week, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers announced that, thanks to Vice President Harris’ leadership, the Biden-Harris administration will provide another $200 million in funding from the historic infrastructure law to improve more than 150 local roads and bridges across Wisconsin through the Local Roads Improvement Program (LRIP). As president, Donald Trump kept promising an “infrastructure week” that never came, but Vice President Harris worked with President Biden to deliver, with nearly $7 billion and counting heading to Wisconsin for over 500 infrastructure projects. The newly announced Biden-Harris infrastructure law funding will fix more than 150 Wisconsin roads and bridges across the entire state, from Ashland to Portage to Manitowoc. The following is a statement from Harris-Walz Wisconsin Press Secretary Timothy White: “Vice President Harris delivered where Trump failed: fixing roads and bridges all across Wisconsin, including $200 million more this week to improve another 150 local roads and bridges across the state. This is what it means to show up for our communities, and we’re going to continue to highlight that contrast and bring Wisconsinites together to elect Vice President Harris and Governor Walz in November.” |
