Madison, WI -- Today, Dane County Judge Valerie Bailey-Rihn ruled that the Wisconsin State Assembly must cover the legal fees in a lawsuit claiming Michael Gableman broke the state’s open records laws in his ongoing review of the November 2020 presidential election. State Senator Melissa Agard (D-Madison) released the following statement:
“Michael Gableman illegally deleted records during his sham of an investigation because he was finding no evidence of widespread fraud in Wisconsin’s election. A former Wisconsin Supreme Court justice, who had to learn about election law, cost taxpayers $11,000 a month. Gableman’s investigation, approved by Robin Vos, has cost the state over $1 million. “Wisconsinites have been subjected to Robin Vos’ corruption and abuse of power for nearly ten years, and we are quite literally paying for it.” |
