MADISON, Wis. – Thursday morning, President Biden and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Michael Regan announced that the Biden-Harris administration will allocate $1 billion from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to fund projects that clean up and restore the Great Lakes’ most environmentally degraded sites.

These projects will address “Areas of Concern” around the Great Lakes and deliver significant environmental, economic, health, and recreational benefits for lakeside communities – including right here in Wisconsin. By 2030, the following clean up projects across the Badger State will be completed:

• St. Louis River, MN and WI
• Fox River, WI
• Milwaukee Estuary, WI
• Sheboygan, WI
