ron-johnsonMADISON - Today the Democratic Party of Wisconsin released a new radio ad, titled "Scheme." The ad runs statewide and hits Ron Johnson on his plans to dismantle Social Security. Johnson has called Social Security a “Ponzi Scheme,” and he said it was a “shame” that George W. Bush wasn’t able to privatize it before the market collapsed in 2008.

The ad calls out Johnson for being out of touch with Wisconsin voters many of who depend on Social Security. Unlike Johnson – and the billionaires who support him – Wisconsin’s middle class and working families cannot rely on a $10 million golden parachute from the company their brother-in-law started.

The ad also highlights Johnson’s vote to end Medicare as we know it by turning it into a voucher program. In the ad, a woman reminds voters that, “Senator Johnson may not need it, but he has to know how important Medicare is to me.”

The ad will run on radio stations statewide.
