MILWAUKEE – A new Marquette Law School Poll released today shows Russ Feingold is supported by 50 percent of registered voters, with Republican incumbent Ron Johnson receiving 37 percent. In November, Feingold was at 49 percent and Johnson was at 38 percent. The poll is evidence that Feingold is still in a very strong position in these early months of 2016, despite nearly $2 million in ads run against him, and a constant barrage of negative and misleading attacks from Senator Johnson and his supporters. A few key points from this most recent poll:
Feingold will spend much of this week on a tour of Wisconsin colleges and universities, listening to students at UW River Falls, UW Eau Claire, Marquette University, UW Whitewater and UW Waukesha. By contrast, Senator Johnson spent much of this week explaining why he missed most of his Homeland Security hearings in the years leading up to his re-election. |
