foxvalleyintrocollageNew local, independent, nonprofit news source for and by the communities of color starts here in Northeast Wisconsin!

APPLETON, WI - We just launched on January 21 and have already covered many events like the Appleton Area School District's first-ever Martin Luther King Day celebration and highlighted many community leaders like Fit Oshkosh founder Tracey Robertson and UWGB's Mai Lo Lee.

FoxValley365 is run by 365 Media Foundation, the same nonprofit organization that's built Madison365 into the leading news outlet for people of color in the Midwest. We've been honored with many awards in the last three years, including Media of the Year by the Madison Black Chamber of Commerce, Collaborator of the Year by the Black Women's Leadership Conference, the Amigo Award from La Movida Radio, the Community Impact Award from the Madison Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta and Executive of the Year from InBusiness Magazine.

henry-sandersBuilding on the same commitment to community that has led to Madison365's success, FoxValley365 will use excellent journalism to start conversations, highlight longtime leaders, support emerging leaders, and seek solutions for the business community, nonprofit sector, schools, local governments and neighborhoods from Green Bay to Fond du Lac and all points between.

Starting later today, you'll get a daily update of the day's news, plus a weekly roundup of all the most important headlines of the week. We won't spam you with ads, though we'll let you know in those emails which local companies and organizations are supporting our independent community journalism.

We hope you find this news valuable! Feel free to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to keep up with everything happening in your community.
