MADISON, Wis. — Ahead of President Biden’s visit to Wisconsin today to announce critical infrastructure funding for Milwaukee, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Ben Wikler released the following statement:

“Infrastructure is supposed to make our communities stronger, not divide them. For too long, core Milwaukee neighborhoods have been pushed apart by interstates bisecting their communities. At long last, change is on its way. Thanks to President Biden, Senator Tammy Baldwin, and Democrats in Congress who voted for the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and delivered a once-in-a-generation investment in our nation’s infrastructure, Milwaukee will soon be able to build a city that is safer and healthier for all its residents. We’re delighted to welcome President Biden back to Milwaukee as he works to literally bridge the gap between Wisconsinites and reconnect communities that have been split apart.”
