MADISON, Wis. — 84 years ago today, the first ever Social Security check was issued. Since then, hundreds of millions of Americans have worked hard to receive the Social Security benefits they earned. Unfortunately, self-serving politicians like California bank owner Eric Hovde (R–Laguna Beach) continue to attack Social Security, hoping to strip Wisconsinites of their hard-earned benefits.
