Cranberry Creek Dairy is looking to expand it's current number of milking cows, heifers, and calves from 2107 animals to 7250 by 2017. A public hearing on the possible increase of discharge pollutants this expansion may cause is set for next Tuesday, September 20th in Mondovi. MONDOVI, WI - Grassland Corporation has applied to expand Cranberry Farms in Rock Creek from 1,720 cows to 7,150 cows. See the application here. The DNR will hold a public hearing on this application on Tuesday the 20th in Rock Falls at the Town Hall starting at 10AM. It is imperative that citizens show up, ask questions and become informed about this dangerous turn of events. The least we can do is demand a moratorium on the process until a time when we can feel safe from irresponsible practices at such a facility. WHEN |
