KENOSHA – Rep. Peter Barca (D-Kenosha) formally endorsed Hillary Clinton on Thursday for President. Rep. Barca, who serves as the Assembly Democratic Leader, issued the following statement on his endorsement:

“In this Presidential election, the stakes have never been higher. I am proud to stand with Hillary Clinton - a leader who has the experience and vision to lead our country into the future and make sure that every family in Wisconsin and across the nation can get ahead and stay ahead.

“Hillary Clinton has a lifelong record of fighting for our families and the American Dream from her early start at the Children's Defense Fund through her service as Secretary of State. At a time when Wisconsin is losing middle class families at an alarming rate, we need a leader like Hillary Clinton who will tackle the issues keeping Wisconsinites awake at night.

“Hillary Clinton is the only candidate in the race with the strong broad-based experience to lead our country and fight to grow our economy and incomes so that every American can afford a better life. I have the utmost confidence that Hillary Clinton will work tirelessly to keep our nation safe, ensure every child can reach his or her full potential, help build the middle class and continue the progress America has experienced economically the past eight years.
