OCONTO FALLS, WI - Former educator Dave Polashek will announce his candidacy for State Senate District 12 at Oconto Falls High School Wednesday. Residents interested are invited to attend. Senate District 12 covers a large area of Northeastern Wisconsin, bordered from Wausaw and Suamico on the south, Marinette on the east, and the Nicolet National and Northern Highland State Forests on the north and west. Thomas Tiffany (R - Hazelhurst) currently holds the seat. Dave Polashek has spent his career serving students, families and communities as an educator and school administrator. He recently retired as superintendent of schools for Oconto Falls. A father of four who knows the importance of Wisconsin's natural heritage, Dave is an avid hunter, fisherman, and defender of the environment. Now Dave is running for State Senate because he believes the northwoods deserves a Senator who will listen to them and serve their interests instead of powerful special interests and party bosses in Madison. Persons attending the announcement should arrive by 3:15pm at Oconto Falls High School, 200 N. Farm Road, in Oconto Falls. |
