Job Summary:

Provide supportive services to victims of domestic violence and their children, including: safety planning, individual and group counseling, resource direction and connection, legal advocacy and community awareness/prevention. Fluency in English and Spanish is a requirement for this position.

Essential Duties:

Provide crisis counseling, personalized safety planning and intervention for victims of domestic violence and their families while in shelter services. Advocates for and empowers domestic violence victims responding to their individual needs as they navigate through the social service and legal justice systems. Facilitates case management program with clients to include: assessment, benefit assessment, goal setting, long-term case plan development, weekly case plan development, progress monitoring, budgeting and financial goals, domestic violence education, advocacy and referrals. Completes and maintains necessary documentation through established written and computer protocols. Bachelor's degree in social work or related human service field required.
