Legislators Dave Hansen, Eric Genrich, and Amanda Stuck will hold a press conference at 9:00 AM, Monday, July 6 on the East Steps of the Brown County Courthouse to discuss the Republican state budget proposal that threatens local public education, slashes the UW, erodes natural resource protections, degrades open records protections, and jeopardizes care for seniors and people with disabilities.


GREEN BAY - In the early hours of July 3, the Republican-controlled Joint Finance Committee finished their work on the 2015-2016 state budget. The $72 billion spending bill now moves to the full legislature for consideration.

The proposal siphons more public money to private schools, slashes funding for UW colleges and universities, erodes natural resource protections, degrades open records protections, and jeopardizes Wisconsin’s model of care for seniors and people with disabilities.
