GREEN BAY - The Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay is currently looking to hire a qualified Dance Instructor. Under general supervision of Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay Director of Operations, the Dance Instructor will be considered a professional, practicing teaching artist and is responsible for the development, direction and management of the Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay’s dance program. The Dance Instructor will collaborate with the Arts Initiative team to design and implement a rich Dance program. The Dance Instructor is responsible for delivering youth centric arts programming that is shaped with active, real-time influence and input of youth participants on program content and approach.  This program holds youth to high expectations and is built around current dance forms and the skills needed to master them.  It will engage key stakeholders, and culminate with high profile public events.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America, with the support of the Wallace Foundation, has launched an Arts Initiative in three pilot Boys & Girls Club organizations, including Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay. The goals of this pilot project are to develop an approach to implementing arts programming in Boys & Girls Clubs using the research-based Success Principles detailed in the Wallace Foundation’s research report Something to Say, Success Principles for Afterschool Arts Program [1]; test that approach in Clubs; and ultimately determine how to define quality arts programming that provides young people with opportunities to see the arts as a vital human experience and a viable, life-long pursuit. The Dance Instructor will be critical to the project’s successful implementation.
