Kewaunee - Renee Paplham (Kewaunee - D) will seek election to Wisconsin’s first Assembly district. Paplham launched her campaign on April 4, with visits to small businesses in Kewaunee and Door Counties.

“As a middle class working mom, I understand the issues people in my community are facing.  I’m focused on improving the economic security of working families, women’s rights, and making sure our kids have strong public schools.”

renee-paplhamPaplham has begun visiting with people across the district and listening to the issues and concerns of people in the First Assembly District.

“The people of this District want a representative who rises above partisan politics and takes on issues that improve the lives of working families,” Paplham said. “They want someone to represent them who will work in the spirit of compromise to find solutions for our families and community.”

Paplham was born and raised in Kewaunee.  She graduated from UW Green Bay with a degree in human development.  She currently works as a caregiver to individuals with special needs and as a mediator for the Mediation Center of Greater Green Bay.

“I’m supporting Renee because, as someone who has lived here all her life, she really understands the needs of voters.  Perhaps most importantly, she is the voice of the younger generation whose time has come to lead,” stated Jodi Parins, Kewaunee County resident.

The 1st Assembly District covers all of Kewaunee and Door Counties and a small portion of Brown County.
